Burlington Public Library collaborates with people and organizations who want to share their expertise with the community. We work with local organizations, instructors, and subject matter specialists to offer programs, services, and resources that help community members learn and thrive.

Submit an Inquiry

If you have a proposal you'd like us to consider, please submit an inquiry form. Collaborations with the Library must focus on learning and connection only and cannot promote a business or include any form of solicitation or sales. All programs and support services offered at BPL are free for the public to attend and use.

The Collaboration Inquiry form is for inquiries about joint programs, events, and support services. Please note: We receive a high volume of applications and, unfortunately, cannot respond to every request. If we are interested in moving forward with your inquiry, a Library staff member will contact you. Burlington Public Library plans three to four months in advance. Applications with limited notice are unlikely to be considered.

Local Authors

If you are a local author and would like us to consider your book for our collection, please visit our Local Authors page.

Presenting at Burlington Literary Festival

Our annual November Burlington Literary Festival is a month-long celebration of authors, books, and the art of writing. We accept presenter proposals beginning in spring and finalize our lineup in early fall. The application process for this year's festival is now closed. Please watch for opportunities next spring to participate as a speaker at BurlLITFest 2026.

Display

Our branches are busy places, with thousands of people visiting Burlington Public Library every week.

Community Bulletin Boards

BPL has community bulletin boards in Library branches for non-profit and community groups to promote community groups, resources, and events. If you are interested in submitting a poster, please review our Community Bulletin Board Policy and drop off your poster in person at any branch for approval.

Public Art Display

The Library offers limited space for art exhibits which reflect the diverse cultural interests of Burlington, and which foster community and individual expression. If you are interested in public art display, please review our Public Art Display Policy and submit an application form (Appendix 1).
