×Brant Hills Branch Plans to Reopen October 15
Unfortunately, the temporary closure of Brant Hills Branch will be extended due to ongoing construction activities. The library branch is now planned to reopen on Thursday, October 15. Once complete, the project will replace the roof and HVAC at Brant Hills Community Centre, including the library.
We know how much the branch means to the community, and we apologize for the inconvenience and disruption from the extended closure. Thank you for your patience and understanding while this important work is completed.
Library staff at nearby branches are ready to welcome you during the closure. The closest branches are Tansley Woods Branch (1996 Itabashi Way) and Alton Branch (3040 Tim Dobbie Drive).

Books and Items Borrowed
All due dates for items borrowed from Brant Hills Branch have been extended to Thursday, October 15. You can also return your items to any other BPL location.
Our online services are always available. You can access digital books, magazines and newspapers, learning resources, and more through our website.
Programs
Some programs are also affected by the closure and will be postponed, cancelled, or moved to another branch. Customers who have registered for a program will be contacted directly about any changes in date or location.
Drop-in programs including Family Storytime, Knit 'n’ Natter, and Queer Peers are on pause until we reopen and are expected to restart October 15. For a full list of programs, please visit our online program calendar.

Road Closures October 4 | Central Branch
The annual CIBC Run for the Cure takes place in Burlington on Sunday, October 4, 2026, and will affect access to Central Branch. Pedestrian and traffic congestion will begin around 7am as participants arrive and register.
New Street will be fully closed from Drury Lane to Walker's Line between 9:30am and approximately 1pm. Teen Tour Way at New Street will be closed; however, visitors can access the park and library via Drury Lane. Parking in the north lot behind the library may be limited.
Due to road closures and traffic restrictions, we strongly recommend planning for traffic delays, or walking, cycling, or taking transit to Central Branch.
