BPL's 2024 Branch Big Borrows
Burlington is a community of avid readers, so we thought it might be fun to wrap up a Very Big Borrowing Year by looking at what physical books BPL members checked out the most at their local branch.
The BIGGEST Borrows
Popular adult fiction novels by John Grisham, Lisa Jewell, and Michael Connelly had a strong start in 2024 but were outpaced by the end of the year by titles such as Funny Story by Emily Henry, A Calamity of Souls by David Baldacci, First Lie Wins by Ashley Elston, and One Perfect Couple by Ruth Ware. The Women by Kristin Hannah remained a top pick throughout the year, with 635 loans on the regular print edition alone.
Interestingly, although a handful of titles were in high demand across the city, Burlington neighbourhoods had their preferences—take a look!
