We have five different funds where your donation can make an immediate impact.
Kids Learning Fund
Grow literacy in all its forms by donating to this fund. Our Kids Learning Fund supports literacy and STEAM programming, our children's collection, and upgrades to our children's areas.
Honour a Reader
Celebrate a reader in your life by helping build the library’s collection. Honour a friend's memory, mark a milestone, or thank someone who has made a difference—whatever the occasion, this meaningful gift speaks volumes!
Preserve Our History
We play an important role in preserving Burlington's history, and you can too! This funds digitization and local history initiatives so more people can learn about our community's heritage.
Pay It Forward
We no longer charge daily late fines, but we know that things happen. If you miss a due date, consider a monetary donation of any amount to our Pay it Forward fund. This fund helps grow our collection so we can reduce wait times for popular items and purchase a wider variety of materials.
Think Big for Burlington
Support the advancement of BPL’s Strategic Plan and objectives so our library can continue to help Burlington thrive now and in the future. This fund supports innovation-related projects.
Ways You Can Contribute
Your support means so much to us, and you'll receive a tax receipt for any donation above $20 CAD. Choose the giving option that's right for you.

You can make a donation online through Canada Helps or at any of our branches by debit, credit, cash, or cheque.
Become a Monthly Donor
Show your support year-round as a monthly donor and make a recurring, automated contribution to any one of our five funds through CanadaHelps online.
Leave a Legacy for Literacy
Burlington Public Library deeply appreciates the ongoing generosity of those who have gifted the Library in perpetuity through their bequests. By including BPL in your estate planning, you are supporting literacy for generations to come. Our endowment funds are administered by Burlington Community Foundation.
