How to Use eAudiobooks

Step 1a

Use BPL's Library catalogue to find eAudiobooks by limiting your search to Material Type: E-Audio (in advanced search). Also, you may notice links to "downloadable audio" titles during your search for books.

OR...

Step 1b

Connect to netLibrary (Connect from Home button above), choose eAudiobooks from menu on right side, and either search or browse the collection of eAudiobooks by Subject.

Step 2

Click on Download this eAudiobook.

Step 3

Choose the quality of the file you would like to download. CD quality is recommended and required if you would like to transfer the item to an MP3 Player. Radio quality is a better option for those connecting to the Internet with a 56K dialup connection.

Step 4

You will be prompted to log into your netLibrary account. If you do not have an account, click on Create a New Account here. Creating a netLibrary account is required for keeping track of your digital checkouts since your netLibrary checkouts are not connected to your library barcode.

Step 5

Once you have successfully downloaded a title to your computer, you must open the file in Windows Media Player version 9 or higher in order to obtain the digital copyright to play the file. If you are planning on transferring the file to an MP3 player, you must open the file on your PC to establish copyright before transferring the file.
