Here's what you need to know about library closure due to inclement weather.
When concern for the safety of our visitors and staff calls for the closure of Burlington Public Library, we'll do our best to let you know as early as possible.
When the weather is stormy, before you travel to the library we suggest you find out if we are open or planning to close early. Check our website home page or catalogue My BPL login page for a closure notice or:
- Visit the library's Facebook, Instagram, and X (Twitter). Depending on our ability to connect online, we will keep you informed.
- Call us at 905.639.3611. If the library is closed or closing for the day, there will be a recorded message when you phone our main telephone line.
We appreciate that closing the library due to poor weather conditions may be inconvenient for you. Rest assured we make this decision in the best safety interests of our valued customers and library staff.
