Book Donations

Burlington Public Library does not accept donations of books, DVDs, or CDs. A list of worthy community agencies and organizations that accept used items is provided in the Halton Community Services Directory. Please check the directory, under Related Links below, for an itemized listing of acceptable donations by organization.

Looking to donate used books and magazines? Please note:

  • encyclopedias and magazines (except for National Geographic) are not accepted by any local organizations
  • National Geographic magazines are accepted only by Habitat for Humanity Halton-Mississauga ReStore
  • textbooks are accepted only by Goodwill/Amity
